A bicycle ride to benefit the YMCA of Alexander County
The Second Annual Y-Ride of Alexander County is Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 9:00am.
The event begins with a mass start at Rocky Face Recreation Area.
There are two ride options available through Alexander County. A 50 kilometer (31 miles) loop and a 100 kilometer (62 miles) course. Each ride offers lots beautiful scenery for cyclists to enjoy. The ride is open to anyone; however, those under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian while participating in this event.
Rest stops and SAG support will be provided along the way, if needed. Lots of good food will be available after the ride.
All bicycle rides will be conducted at each rider’s own pace.
Ride applications are available at the Alexander County YMCA, the Alexander County Administration Building, surrounding bicycle shops or download here.
Pre-registration for the ride is $20, through Friday, August 24 at 12:00 p.m.
Day of registration will be $25.
Y-Ride event T-Shirts will be provided to all riders registered on or before August 18.
