A bicycle ride to benefit the YMCA of Alexander County
A benefit bicycle ride through the scenic country-side of Alexander County.
All proceeds from the 2012 Y-Ride will go towards the purchase and installation of new playground equipment for the YMCA of Alexander County. The 2012 Y-Ride is scheduled for Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 9:00am. The ride will start and finish at the Alexander County Senior Center, located across from the Alexander Central High School football stadium.
There will be three ride options, a 15, 30 and 50 mile option. The 15 mile ride option is designed for inexperienced riders or those looking for a shorter scenic route. The 30 mile option is a bit more challenging, covering more of the eastern side of Alexander County. The 50 mile option is designed for riders with more experience and looking for a more challenging route with lots of hills.
Support vehicles will be covering all three routes.
There will be rest stops at various intervals providing refreshments.
Y-Ride event T-Shirts will be provided to all riders registered on or before October 14.
