VICE CHAIRMAN W. DARRELL ROBERTSON
Darrell Robertson and his family reside in the Stony Point community of Alexander County. Darrell is a 1966 graduate of Stony Point High School and graduated in 1970 from N.C. State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Option. Darrell is currently employed with Matthews Construction in Conover and Charlotte.
Darrell is a member and past president of the Stony Point Ruritan Club, a member of the Alexander Blue Ribbon Study Committee, Alexander County Fire Marshal Study Committee, and a former member and officer of the Stony Point Fire Department.
First elected to the office of Board of County Commissioners for Alexander County on November 5, 1996, he served as chairman in 1998.
He was re-elected to a 4-year term on November 7, 2000 and again on November 2, 2004 for a 2-year term. He held the office of vice-chairman for 2006. On November 7, 2006, Darrell was yet again elected to serve on the Board of Commissioners and will be chairman for 2007.
